One thing that most businessmen would normally handout today professionally are their personalized calling cards. Calling cards are usually the official identification cards in business that contain the bearer’s name, company address, contact numbers, email addresses and the website URL if they are present.
Calling cards today come in various designs depending on the company theme that is being followed. Rarely will you see company representatives having different calling cards. Such an idea would become a clear picture of poor corporate unity and eventually garner jagged reactions.
Potential clients have low regard for unity in a company. If in serving people alone cannot portray the type of business image a company should be projecting, you can just imagine at how patrons will make reservations as far as professionalism is concerned.
Going back, calling card designs do not need to be sophisticated. The important thing is that the imprints are clear and readable. Presentation counts but it is the contact information that is what clients really need. Proper font sizes and font types must be used as well. Avoid overdoing it by using fancy and unique fonts that will make the ones who get them throw it away.
A few colors that carry the normal company colors and enlarging the font size of your name is sufficient to make sure that they know who you are. Place your designation below it so they know immediately who you are.
The remaining information like the office address and contact numbers would normally be a font smaller. Do not make it too small though to which they may need a magnifying glass to read the information printed there. Not all people have a 20/20 vision.
Just emphasize on the printed information and avoid being too classy and fancy. You are doing business so keep it at a professional level. Calling cards can make a difference when it comes to doing business especially when the time to discuss things comes into play.
